Standard Battle:

- In the Uber environment, you may choose any pokémon on your team to use. In the OU environment, you are not allowed to use Pokémon classified as Uber. In the UU environment, you are not allowed to use Pokémon classified as Uber, OU, or BL and so on. Here's a link for the tiers.
- If both agree it is allowed to have a "special amount" Pokemon from a higher enviroment. In the UU enviroment it's allowed to have 1 BL if both trainers agree etc.
- Species Clause. A player cannot have two of the same Pokémon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Dragonites on his or her team.
- Arceus Clause. The Pokémon Arceus is banned from all environments.
- Sleep Clause. A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing pokémon.
- Frozen Clause. A player cannot freeze two or more different opposing Pokémon.
- Evasion Clause. A player cannot increase their pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Items, abilities or indirect boosts of evasion isn't perhibitted.
- OHKO Clause. Players cannot use moves that have a chance of instantly KO opposing Pokémon. For example, Horn Drill is an illegal move to have on a Pokémon's move set.
- Self-KO Clause. Players cannot use moves such as Explosion, Destiny Bond or Selfdestruct to force a tie. If a move that has recoil damage (such as Double Edge) causes a tie, the user of the move is the winner.
- Soul Dew Clause. The item Soul Dew is banned from OU.
- Luck Item Clause. The items Focus Band, King's Rock, Lansat Berry, Lucky Punch, Quick Claw, Razor Claw, Razor Fang and Stick are banned.
- Disconnect Clause. In the case of a player disconnecting during a battle, he or she is automatically assumed to lose, unless the non-disconnecting opponent chooses to grant a rematch.
- Hacking Clause. Hacking illegal stats or moves on a pokemon is perhibitted.
